I am currently attempting to collect photos of all of the children of Elijah Corder Jr. and his sister Mary "Polly" Corder Osborne. If you have photos of any of the children of Elijah & Nancy Osborne Corder, or of Mary "Polly" Corder and her husband John Osborne, please contact Laura Henderson and if possible, email a high-quality digital version. Elijah Jr. and his sister Polly moved from Tazewell County, VA to Scott County, VA in early 1800's and married siblings in the Osborne family of the Dungannon (Hunter's Valley), VA area.

Historical Marker in the town of Little Washington in Rappahannock County, VA names Edward Corder as a chain carrier for George Washington's surveying expedition. Corder is named on at least eleven known Washington surveys.

After the 2008 National Corder Family Reunion in Culpeper, VA, I lead a tour of points of interest relevant to descendants of Edward Corder. We covered sites in Rappahannock, Warren and Clarke Counties (VA), including the town of Little Washington, the Turkey Tract, the Land Office and munitions storage at Greenway Court, and the Edward Corder II property in Wadesville.
