Mother and Dad (John & Cecelia Franta) lived on a farm near Lincolnville, KS, when first married. Left the farm and went back to Chicago in 1883. Hattie was born in Chicago. They moved back to Kansas to our farm. They lived there where Dick and Philip and Mike were born. Then they moved to Lincolnville where Lawrence and Lillian were born.
Dad (John Franta) had a hardware store in Lincolnville. Sold out and moved to Crete, NE, in 1900. Moved to mother's farm in 1906. They remained on our farm where they both passed away. [Written by Lillian Franta] |
